Summer has officially arrived and the warm weather is here.  It is now time to enjoy the great outdoors.

Many of us have increased living space to our home by adding on a deck.  A deck brings the feeling of the outdoors right into your back yard.  Adding on this extention is a great home improvement and will add value to your home.

Adding comfortable seating for your guests is very important.  Be sure to choose furniture that fits your deck properly and you are able to easily walk around it.  Overcrowding your space will make the area appear smaller than it actually is.

Lighting is another important factor that you will want to consider.  By extending your hours spent outdoors with family and friends you will be sure to create many happy memories.

Planters also look great on your deck.  Try using perennials rather than annuals in your pots.  When Fall comes around you can turn your pots onto their sides and place them in a corner of your yard and bury them under leaves to protect them.  The following Spring return the pots to your deck and watch the perennials grow again. This will save you time and money rather than buying new plants every year.

Keep your space simple so it can be easily maintained and spend more time relaxing!
