Decorating with White

White has made a comeback in interior decorating.  Painting with white is a refreshing way to add some life to your home.  This color will brighten up in any room.  White may be the most neutral color of all for painting although it may be thought of as a safe choice.  There are many diifferent choices in the white palette. Choosing between cool whites and warm whites will be your most difficult decision.  You can go into any paint store and get free advice on choosing colors.  Make sure to bring along an existing cushion or textile to help make your choice easier.

Opting for white walls will give you a great backdrop for your artwork.  Your art will pop off the walls with a simple color choice.  Choosing a darker color may have your art competing for attention.  Many people change their draperies from season to season.  Having a neutral wall will make it easy to do.

Try hanging a mirror on your white walls and you will see the light bounce around and this will visually expand the space. This works well in a small area such as an entryway.

Warm up an all-white palette with accessories that have interesting textures. Items like baskets, pillows, quilts or throws will add flare to your space.

White is a classic color that adapts to all decor.
