Decorating for the holidays!

Decorating for the holidays is one of the things that we look forward to, but are not overly excited about all the hard work ahead.   It is not too early to start putting up your lights outside on your house and perhaps light up a tree. An inexpensive way to light your house is to add a spot light to brighten up your front door in white or a color.

Adding a couple of planters on either side of your door is also a nice way to welcome your guests.  Make sure you have some height in your pots by starting from the centre with tall branches and working your way out with some greenery.  This will set a warm and cozy feel  for your visitors.

Year after year we use special pieces that we have collected and hold fond memories for us.  You may have a wreath that has been around for years and looks weathered.  How about spray painting it in a solid color such as silver or gold and set a theme around the color you choose.

Start decorating early and enjoy your finished work.  By starting outdoors and working your way in will make for a smoother process.  If you are able to have this done by the first of December, it will make the busiest month of the year more enjoyable!
